Bequant Releases R5.1.1, with applications flow speed information

Bequant's R5.1.1 Release provides information about the flow-speed of different applications per subscriber or subscriber-group. It also includes several new functional improvements and fixes.

Bequant’s R5.1.1 release offers:

  • New Per-Flow Speed information in Status->Subscribers->QoE and Status->Subscribers->Groups.
  • Real-time view of interface throughput, memory usage, and disk usage.
  • Bulk deletion of management interface firewall rules.
  • Updated DPI signatures.
  • New direct links from maindashboard.
  • Important fix to make cluster synchronization faster.

New Flow Speed Information per Application

It is now possible to see the flow speed of different applications in your network, comparing how that speed varies from one user to another, or from one subscriber group (which may represent, for example, an access point) to another. You can see these new charts in  Status->Subscribers->QoE_Metrics and Status->Subscribers->Groups:

Real-time network interfaces throughput, memory usage, and disk usage

  • Real-time view of network interfaces throughput in Status->Interfaces->Throughput.
  • Real-time view of memory usage in Status->System->Memory.
  • Real-time view of disk usage in Status->System->Disk.

Other new features

  • It is now possible to delete several management interface firewall rules simultaneously.
  • Updated DPI signatures.
  • Added direct links to several dashboard elements, to relevant pages: HW-ID, serial number, hostname, and system time.

Fixes and internal improvements

  • Important fix in cluster synchronization, making it significantly faster. This, however, makes it necessary to have all cluster nodes with version above R5.1.1 to synchronize.
  • Fixed problem with dynamic policies loading, interfering with policies defined in configuration, during system restart, with very large configurations.
  • Fixed charts with Time Evolution of Internet Latencies.
  • Improved subscriber-group shaping mechanism.
  • Improved internal counters for out-of-order bytes.
  • Fixed number of subscribers in flow-steering mode.
  • Fixed problem in billing systems integration page, which erroneously showed synchronization in progress.
  • Fixed narrow screen logo not opening dashboard.
